I began working at West Lodge Primary School in September 2015. I live locally to the school and was aware of its outstanding reputation. When I visited the school on a placement, it was clear that the needs and education of every child were of the upmost importance to all staff at the school. The atmosphere throughout the school was positive and supportive, making the right environment for learning. Immediately I knew this was a school I wanted to be a part of. I believe that every child has a right to a good quality education and excellent teaching; this is an ethos that West Lodge shares. The dedication and encouragement of staff, governors and parents in supporting children to achieve their best creates the happiest school I have had the privilege of being a part of.
Previous to working at West Lodge School I worked in a Special Educational Needs primary school in Harrow, where I gained great experiences. During my time at West Lodge I have led different subjects: including PE, and now PSHE. I am now also a Year Group Leader at the school, and these roles have given me the opportunity to create good relationships with colleagues and children and understand the demands they face in order to represent their views. I am passionate in supporting West Lodge in its status of an outstanding school, where every child matters.
