West Lodge is proud to lead a PSHE Hub for schools across Harrow, providing an opportunity for colleagues to come together, share effective practice and develop high-quality Personal, Social, Health and Economic education. The Hub is led by Grant Beckwith, Assistant Headteacher and PSHE Lead at West Lodge, and supports schools in developing a purposeful and relevant PSHE curriculum that meets the needs of their pupils.
Through regular Hub meetings, schools have opportunities to explore current developments in PSHE and Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE), consider changes to statutory guidance and share practical approaches that can be used within their own settings.
Our Hub work includes a focus on areas such as relationships and health education, safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing, inclusion and diversity, pupil voice, online safety and preparing pupils for life in modern Britain. West Lodge is also able to share its experience of developing a whole-school approach to PSHE, alongside the wider work we undertake through MindUP, No Outsiders and our personal development curriculum.
The Hub is built around collaboration. Our aim is to give PSHE leaders a supportive network where they can discuss challenges, share ideas and continue to strengthen provision for pupils across Harrow.
