My wife Jeannine and I moved to Pinner some thirty years ago and our son Oliver was a pupil at West Lodge. We have always lived within a ten-minute walk of the school. My work has been in marketing, market research, design and new product invention, with a recent focus on the third sector, and I still mentor some companies in those areas.
I am one of the organisers of Pinner Arts Week, an event that celebrates the tremendous creative talent that we have locally across all the arts and across all ages. The West Lodge choir performed at this year’s festival and I look forward to continued involvement in the 2018 Arts Week. I am also Chair of the charity Relate in North West London and have been on their national board and have been closely involved in the creation of the Heath Robinson Museum.
Pinner has a strong sense of community and West Lodge is an integral part of that. I have been enormously impressed by the confidence and positive attitude of the pupils; they are being well prepared to become citizens of a challenging and changing world.
