Welcome to the FOWLS section

Friends of West Lodge School (FOWLS) is a registered charity (Registered charity No. 282766) to raise money for the benefit of the children at West Lodge School. As parents/guardians of children attending West Lodge School, we are all automatically members of FOWLS.

FOWLS was set up to arrange fund raising and social events for the school community. The money raised by FOWLS in doing such events is used for the benefit of the school.

Over the past few years, FOWLS has contributed towards the installation of the CCTV, vital for the safety of the children while at school; the new ICT Suite incorporating 30 brand new computers; wonderful playground equipment; a new room for Special Needs Children: the Upper School library; 80 school's iPads and much more.

How Do We Raise Funds?

FOWLS is a Charity and is run by a dedicated committee of parents who have volunteered to give up some of their time to organising events throughout the school year. The money raised from these events benefits each and every child as they progress through the school.

Our Current Committee is headed by;

Chairperson:                   Jen Allsop

Treasurer:                       Parvadha Swaminathan

Committee Members:-  Jenny Wilkinson , Laura Fulgoni, Asili Hodzic, Hanan Phylactou,

If you have any event ideas or would like to volunteer to help at events, please e-mail us on

If you are kind enough to volunteer for any of the FOWLS events, your time is much appreciated by us and the School. However, if you are working, your employer might donate to FOWLS on your behalf, through a scheme known as Matched Giving.  They will either match the amount of money you raise for us or give you time off in lieu for the time you spend helping FOWLS.  Each employer has their own rules for the scheme and many companies, big and small, participate in it.

The document below titled Information on Match Giving explains this scheme in more detail. However, if you still wish to discuss with us any aspect of it please e-mail us on

Local estate agent, Robsons, supports us through raffle prizes and advertising our events on their advertising boards outside the School and in parent’s front gardens.  If you would like to host a board before any of our events please contact us.
