Sports Update - Department for Education
In February, the Department for Education came to West Lodge to interview a female student who has benefited from sport, to then post the interview on their twitter page. The child selected was Jemima from Year 6, who has used sport as a platform to grow in confidence, academic ability and make strong, long-lasting friendships. During the interview both she and Mr Khalfi explained how sport has helped not only her, but many other children throughout the school and all the great work that happens here. The video was posted by the Department for Education on Twitter on 9/2/22 and has since been re-tweeted by England football legend Gary Lineker and England Women idols such as Bethany England and Kelly Smith.
