A very warm welcome from the Friends of West Lodge School committee.
Friends of West Lodge School (FOWLS) is a registered charity (Registered charity No. 282766).
Our aim is to raise money for the benefit of all the children at West Lodge School, and arrange social events for the school community. As parents/guardians of children attending West Lodge School, we are all automatically members of FOWLS, and therefore all part of the fundraising team.
Over the past few years, FOWLS has contributed towards the installation of the CCTV, vital for the safety of the children while at school; a Celtic Roundhouse; wonderful playground equipment; a new playground for Kaleidoscope specifically for SEN children: the Upper school library, new lunch wrist bands, new books for the classrooms and the library and much more.
Over the last two years we raised approximately £50,000 for the school through our various fundraising events.

Volunteers are vital for the success of every event that we run and we really appreciate any time or support that you are able to offer. FOWLS is a Charity and is run by a dedicated committee of parents who have volunteered to give up some of their time to organising events throughout the school year.
If you are working, your employer may be able to donate to FOWLS on your behalf, through a scheme known as Matched Giving. They will either match the amount of money you raise for us or give you time off in lieu for the time you spend helping FOWLS. Each employer has their own rules for the scheme and many companies, big and small, participate in it. The document below titled Information on Match Giving explains this scheme in more detail.
We are supported by a number of local businesses for our events. Local estate agent, Gibbs Gillespie, sponsors our public events, donating prizes and advertising outside the School and at local addresses. If you would like to host a board before any of our events please contact us.
The General Data Protection Regulation has been in effect since early 2018. FOWLS do not collect any personal information from the school, so anything you provide to us, you agree to do so willingly, and for the purpose intended. Your details will not be passed onto any third party, without your prior consent. Any information we collect will be securely stored and will be disposed of within 1 month after the event it was intended for.
