Are you a people person with good communication and organisational skills?
Do you have good people management skills with a positive can-do attitude?
Then joining the FOWLs team is for you!
FOWLS is a Charity run by a dedicated committee of parents who volunteer to give up some of their time to organise fundraising events throughout the school year for a two year period. We are looking for volunteers and would really appreciate any time or support you are able to offer. Our aim is to build a bigger FOWLS team so the workload doesn’t fall on one person’s shoulders.
FOWLS have raised over £50,000 in the past 2 years. In addition to the funds raised over £8,000 was added by match funding these events. Overall FOWLS were successful in raising four times the average raised by school PTAs in the UK per year (according to PTA UK, PTAs raised an average of £6,187 per year in 2020).
Be part of an amazing adventure and join a brilliant team! Just look at some of the present committee’s achievements during the past two years - where they have introduced many new events: Festival of Light; Virtual Pet Show; Digital Creativity Festival; Elf Workshop; Holi Colour Run and Dragon's Den!
In addition to raising vital funds for the school FOWLS plays a crucial role in bringing our community together!
We are looking for people to fill the following roles for the next two years:
Chair - represent FOWLS at meetings; finalise events and calendar; allocate events to various teams; oversee events; lead regular meetings; communicate with the team to keep everyone updated and Manage and approve fund allocation
Secretary - meeting minutes, calendar, manage communication with class reps, sort letter for matched-funders
