This is my second term serving at our school. My wife and I have lived in Pinner for almost 15 wonderful years now with three wonderful children! All of our children were or are still at the school and thriving thanks to our amazing school faculty.
My career in business transformation involves working with business sponsors at board level to transform their organisations from a people, process and technology perspective; a key element is: understanding and communicating their vision; and then working collectively throughout the organisation towards achieving that common goal.
I previously co-chaired for 2 years at another local school PTA (Parents Teachers Association), the main achievements include: raising over £20k for new school facilities and external charities; campaigning for a school crossing (road safety measures implemented successfully); organising the first ever school ‘Cyclathon’ - promoting health and fundraising by the children; and chairing the AGM/monthly team meetings.
I’m a qualified accountant with experience in both practice and industry, as well as the ‘third’ sector (on a voluntary basis). I have a keen interest in the not-for-profit sector and thrive on the opportunity to contribute positively and constructively, especially where children are involved. I also have a background in the arts with a strong desire to see the next generation develop creative interests and talents!
I consider myself a positive and approachable individual who is a team player with a willingness to learn new things or share my expertise and apply them with enthusiasm; along with the desire to see things through to their natural conclusion.
