Local MP, David Simmonds, Visits West Lodge
Our local MP, David Simmonds, came to West Lodge to see how the school is developing children as leaders and to gain a better understanding of the school's commitment towards the UN's Sustainability Development Goals. As part of the visit, David Simmonds had separate meetings with all the school councillors in each phase, where he explained his role and was also quizzed by the children on his commitment to climate change. David Simmonds tweeted later that day, commenting on how inspired he was on the children's engagement and commitment to climate change and how much he enjoyed the flapjacks made by Diane our chef!
