Year 3 visit Stonehenge

On Tuesday 26th September, as part of their History topic on 'Changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age' Year 3 visited Stonehenge. The visit brought to life all that the children had been learning in the History lessons about Stone Age and what an incredible feat of team work and engineering it was in constructing this site. Whilst walking around the monument the children got a real sense of the importance and significance of Stonehenge and the area surrounding it. The children were able to see the tools and methods used in the construction, displayed in the Exhibition Centre as well as an opportunity to explore the homes the Neolithic people.
