I am honoured to serve as Chair of Governors at West Lodge School. A Pinner resident for over a decade with one of my two sons still at the school, I’m committed to ensuring every child is welcomed, well-supported and able to thrive.
My professional background spans law and regulation: after a Law degree and Master’s in Law, I practised as a solicitor and later became an ombudsman, issuing legally binding decisions grounded in the Equality Act, relevant case law and industry guidance. That experience - balancing evidence, fairness and accountability - shapes how I approach governance and scrutiny today.
I now lead Being Inclusive, a consultancy specialising in neurodiversity education and inclusion. I work with schools, corporates and charities to design neuro-affirming systems and processes, drawing on lived experience and on current evidence and research. I also serve as a trustee at the Race Equality Foundation and as a Professional Associate at the Centre for Race, Education and Decoloniality at Leeds Beckett University.
As a parent governor, I bring an intersectional lens to our work on curriculum, wellbeing and SEND, and I’m passionate about inclusion by design so that all our children, staff and families feel safe, respected and set up to succeed.
